Lankayan, jewel-shaped island is located in the northeastern part of Sabah, is part of the Sugud Islands Marine Conservation Area (SIMCA). The island is surrounded by blue-green waters and coral reefs, according to its function as one of the popular diving places in the State.
In addition to offer attractive, the island also has a forest in the interior and this is also attracting visitors who come not for the diving activities alone.
Total of fourteen dive sites here, including Lankayan Wreck. All are just a few minutes to get there and offer an amazing meal from marine life from giant grouper, to the small eels. The whale shark can be found all around here in March and May, and the island is a nesting place for green turtles and turtle shell. You may see yourself how these turtles released into the sea.
How to Get There
Using high-speed boats that depart from the yacht club Sandakan and take approximately one and a half hours.
